Same-Day & Acute Care
When your health shifts unexpectedly,
expert care can’t wait.
Health-E evaluates many new illnesses, minor injuries and unexpected health concerns that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening emergencies. Appointment availability and the appropriate care setting depend on your symptoms.

The Visit Process
From a new concern to an appropriate next step.
Acute-care visits focus on the immediate concern while also considering your health history, current medications and existing conditions.
Contact the Office
Explain the general reason for your request so the team can review scheduling availability and provide appropriate direction.
Complete an Evaluation
Your physician reviews your symptoms, relevant history and clinical findings.
Determine the Care Plan
Recommendations may include treatment, testing, monitoring or a more appropriate level of care.
Follow Up if Needed
Additional review may be recommended if symptoms persist, worsen or require continued monitoring.
Before You Contact Us
Be ready to describe what is happening.
Clear information helps the office understand your request and identify whether an available primary-care appointment may be appropriate.
Do not send private medical details through an unsecured website form. Use the office's approved communication or patient-portal process.
When the symptoms began
Note when you first noticed the concern and whether it appeared suddenly or gradually.
How the symptoms have changed
Be prepared to explain whether the concern is improving, remaining stable or becoming worse.
What you have already tried
Include relevant over-the-counter medicines or other steps taken and whether they helped.
Your current health information
Have your medication list, allergies and important medical conditions available.
Scheduling Expectations
Same-day does not mean every concern can be seen immediately.
Availability, symptom severity and the services required determine whether Health-E is the appropriate setting.
Availability
Appointments are limited
Same-day appointments depend on the existing clinical schedule.
Suitability
Some concerns need other services
Imaging, procedures or advanced testing may require urgent or emergency care.
Patient Status
New-patient requirements may apply
Patients who have not established care may need additional registration or scheduling steps.
Emergency
Do not delay emergency care
Call 911 for severe, sudden or potentially life-threatening symptoms.
Availability, Insurance & Scheduling
Contact Health-E before coming to the office.
Same-day availability is limited. Health-E accepts insurance for eligible primary-care services, but coverage for visits, testing and treatment varies by plan.
